Unibet Poker Belgian Championship 2019 is coming up!

Belgium is preparing for one of the largest poker tournaments of the year: the Unibet Poker Belgian Championship at the casino of Blankenberge. Famous Belgian player and tournament director Kenny Hallaert will be the director of tournament for the fourth year in a row. Starting August 29th until September 1st the casino will be transformed in every poker player’s dream with more than enough seats for everyone that wants to play poker.

Apart from the Main Event with multiple starting days there will be a lot of side event action, such as a Ladies Event (#QueenRules), a Deepstack and a Progressive Super Knockout. And of course there are a bunch of cash game options at the casino of Blankenberge.

Christophe De Meulder wins Main Event UPBC 2018

Last year Christophe De Meulder was the winner of the Main Event. He took home a little over 40.000 euros. In 2017 the winner Heinrich Pauker beat 456 other players. After making a heads-up deal with Vincent Verdickt both players took home a little over 30.000 euros. In 2016, which was the first edition of UPBC, Fabrice Lestrade won 40.000 euros.

Awesome campaign

Pokahnights is setting up an awesome campaign. Before the new room was introduced there were some Qualifiers and now, ever since the room was open, Pokahnights organises live qualifiers to send as much players as possible to the Belgian sea to play along with the exclusive Main Event of Unibet Poker Belgian Championship 2019. Right now over 30 players have qualified.

You can also join in! This Sunday in Circus Poker Club Antwerp the final is played. Don’t forget: you can only participate when you’ve won a ticket during one of the qualifiers.

Not a qualifier ticket yet? Tonight at 22h30 you have another chance, and Saturday at 22h. The five remaining players in each Qualifier receive a ticket that will give them access to the grand Final.

Added value in the Unibet Special!

As if that wasn’t enough already Pokahnights decided to organise a Unibet Special this Saturday. In the tournament of 14h there’s a lot of added value. The winner of the Bigstack receives a ticket straight to the Main Event of UPBC 2019, worth 550 euros! The ladies aren’t forgotten either, because the 3 best ladies win a ticket for the Ladies Event of the UPBC. And even better: the entire final table (so 9 players) can participate in the final on Sunday.

Final on August 25th

In the Final of Sunday, August 25th, the Top 3 wins a package of 1.100 euros. In this package there’s a Main Event ticket worth 550 euros for Unibet Poker Belgian Championship 2019. This event will be played at the end of August in the Casino of Blankenberge. The remaining 550 euros will get you to Rozvadov! You can play along in the Main Event of the Dutch Classics and can bring a partner along to spend 3 nights in a 4-star all-in hotel.

We expect about 70 players for the Final and it will start at 14h. If you want to register late, that’s possible until 17h. You will start with a stack of 25.000 chips and the blinds last 25 minutes. For the Final you need a member card of Circus Poker Club Antwerp, a separate membership pass is not necessary.
