DoP Combo Challenge

We love reading that the poker community loves the Days of Poker app. We’ve been online for 2 months now, and already there have been hundreds of players that have played real money games. Every week we receive nice ideas in our inbox. The Days of Poker Combo Challenge is one of those nice ideas that we’ve decided to give a go.

This coming weekend we want to try out this concept in Circus Poker Club Antwerp.

What is the Combo Challenge?

The Combo Challenge combines OFC Poker and Texas Hold’em. Players subscribe for a Chinese Poker event in our Online OFC app. As an extra they will have to prove themselves worthy in a free Texas Hold’em Live Event… At the same time.

Specifications Combo Challenge

Buy-in

Concerning the buy-in we can go any possible direction with this concept. As a try-out we will play 4 Combo Challenge events in total. 2 Combo Challenge Events will have a buy-in of € 50 + € 5 and 2 Combo Challenge Events have a buy-in of € 100 + € 9.

Registration

Since the events are played in the Days of Poker app a late registration is impossible. If you want to participate you’ll have to make sure that you’re subscribed in app in time. As soon as the event in the app has started, it’s no longer possible to join in. The Texas part is live. All stacks will go in play after the second round in the OFC Online event.

Players

The event is played Live in Circus Poker Club Antwerp as well as Online in the Days of Poker Chinese Poker app. You have to be at least 21 years of age. On top of that you have to have an active and verified Days of Poker account.

Game types

In the Chinese Poker app

We play an OFC Regular event. Players will finish 3 boxes in heads-up format. The player that wins 2 (or more) out of 3 boxes, moves on to the next round. The rounds are played until only 1 player remains. We have our winner!

Live poker

The Freeroll Texas Hold’em that is played live will start with 25.000 chips and blindlevels of 20 minutes.

Payout

The winners are rewarded with an even number of Days of Poker SNG tickets with a value of € 25. You get an even amount of tickets so that you can always use these any time you want. Tickets can easily be transferred to other Days of Poker players. No waiting times, instant fun!

Players who wish to do so can exchange their tickets for tickets with other values. For example: when you receive 20 tickets with a value of € 25, you can choose to transform these tickets in 2 tickets of € 250 or 100 tickets of € 5. We want all players to be able to choose for themselves how they want to continue their Days of Poker career.

Payout OFC Regular events

In the € 50 + € 5 Combo Challenge Events the winner (T1) receives a € 25 ticket
In the € 100 + € 9 Combo Challenge events the winner (T1) and the runner-up (T2) get a € 25 Ticket

Payout Texas Hold’Em Live event

All the prize money is divided in € 25 Days of Poker SNG Tickets. The prize pool is split among the 10% best players of the tournament. Some examples:

€50 + € 5 Combo Challenge with 50 players

100 tickets of € 25 are split among the Top 5 players.

• 2^d – 24x € 25 Tickets
• 3^th – 20x € 25 Tickets
• 4^th – 10x € 25 Tickets
• 5^th – 6x € 25 Tickets

€100 + € 9 Combo Challenge with 30 players

12 tickets of € 25 are split among the Top 3 players.

• 1^st – 50x € 25 Tickets
• 2^d – 40x € 25 Tickets
• 3^th – 30x € 25 Tickets

Try-out Time

In the weekend of 17, 18 and 19 of January we will test this format. This way we can check and double check to make sure that everything runs smoothly. We want to invite as many players as possible for these try-outs.

The starting hour is the hour that the OFC Event in the app starts. In the Chinese Poker app there is no late registration. For the live event there is a late registration during the first 2 rounds of the OFC event. A round lasts about 20 minutes.

When you already have an active Days of Poker account you have to make sure that you’re subscribed in the event in app. Remember: you can’t participate when you’re not subscribed in the app at the time the event starts.
